Tyler and Lara Patty ~ FBA Faith Promise Missionaries serving in the Czech Republic

 

 

  Tyler & Lara will share with FBA Kids

Tyler and Lara serve in a region that is fertile for missionary service, the Czech Republic, where the predominant religion is atheism. The Pattys have a heart to work with future church leaders. Their ministry focus is to equip young leaders with the Biblical and academic foundation they need for church-planting, church leadership or pastoral roles. The Patty’s agency, Josiah Venture (JV), partnered with ForMission College in the United Kingdom to open the first non-UK ForMission campus in the Czech Republic. Tyler is responsible for overseeing the spiritual and academic development of students and teaches courses at the new Czech campus. The Pattys are also involved with local ministries in their area such as the Journey Internship program and a church ministry called City Church where they teach Bible studies, develop curriculum, and disciple young leaders. Lara has a heart for the wives and children of church leaders and desires to disciple, counsel, and support them. Lara also teaches English conversation to youth as a means to build relationships and be a bridge to their local church. 

Patty's Prayer Requests

• Pray for fruitful seed from the students attending ForMission campus in Czech.
• Continual prayer for the right team of teachers and mentors and potential students.
• Pray for the fruitful impact of their local ministries so that as Tyler and Lara invest in key leaders, these future leaders will invest in others. 
• Pray for good health, safety, and protection for the entire Patty family.

7/6 Bela & Ildiko Dobos 

Word of Life Hungary, Hungary  

Please continue to pray for the people in Ukraine and for the staff of WOL Ukraine. They left in June (including the staff wives) and returned to Ukraine since the war zone has moved more toward the east part of the country and the property of WOL Ukraine is intact. The men on the staff continue to evacuate people from the war zones and distribute humanitarian aid and share the Gospel with people.

 

7/7 Gary & Donna Ferch  

Friends in Action International, USA/Bolivia 

Gary received his healing and Coronation to Heaven on July 1. He believed his suffering allowed him to know and experience God more deeply, and thanked God even for this final trial. Pray for Donna and family.  View Gary's Obituary

7/8 ES 

USA/Worldwide

Pray for safe travels as ES and spouse visit with family and supporters in Oregon during the first half of July. Please continue to pray for the boys' sleep. Both have been frequently waking throughout the night, and parents are exhausted. Pray that this couple can sell their condominium, due to the blessing of God leading them to a larger home for a growing family!

 

7/9 VERAL & NORMA BLAKE 

Ambassadors for Christ International, West Indies

Pray for Norma, she has advanced stage neuroendocrine (lung cancer). The  cancer is widespread and they are not even sure that trying to treat it will work. They have returned to St. Vincent. They know and believe that nothing is impossible with God, therefore, even in this time of seeming hopelessness there is hope. Pray for Nigel as he begins another round of chemo in NY.

 

7/10 David & Kathy North 

TEAM, USA/Worldwide 

The Norths are thankful that doors are opening more to travel. As Church Planting Coordinators, they plan to spend four months (July-October) visiting their TEAM church planters in about ten countries around the world. They will also participate in several continental conferences and spend time individually with workers throughout Europe, Middle East, India, and a visit to their church in the Philippines.

 

7/11 Bill & Joy Boerop 

World Thrust International, USA/Worldwide

Please stand with the Boerops in praying for five local South African churches who will come together to host a World Thrust Seminar. Update: Joy was dizzy and fell and hurt her back on June 24. She was able to come home from the hospital on June 29 and began therapy last week.

 

7/12 R & B 

Central Africa 

A milestone has been reached  in their work with the schools. The government has officially recognized their middle school and made it a regional testing site for any middle school students in the area. In a few years, the five other elementary schools they are managing will also be able to feed into their middle school.
