FBA Faith Promise Missionary Beverly Minor shared her greetings from Austria in December.
We are experiencing
temperatures in the thirties during the day and in the twenties during the
night; plus some snow and sleet. There are many Christmas markets all
over the city. People are eating, drinking, partying and being merry.
There are growing concerns over future food supplies in Europe. The government in the Netherlands has forced over 3000 farmers out of business and is confiscating their land with payment. This is also happening in Germany and some other countries. Churches are praying!
Our church still supports the church in Mukachevo, Ukraine. The power has been affected by the war and it goes out for hours. No one knows when it will come on or go out. Our church has sent over a number of generators, lots of batteries, candles, flashlights, matches, children’s Bibles, shoe boxes filled with gifts for children, etc.
I'm up to my usual: Attending three to four music rehearsals weekly, in concert with the Longfield Gospel Choirs, leading worship and singing solos in church, assisting with cooking and serving after each Sunday evening service, street evangelism, prayer team and more.
I shared the Gospel with a young man and invited him to church. He came and went up for prayer because he was in need of a job. He started his new job the following week.
Pastor friends of mine from Kentucky expressed interest in visiting Vienna and doing ministry. I connected them with an African church, and they flew over in November and did a marriage conference. The church was really blessed, and their aim is to make this a yearly event. I sang “Goodness of God” during the Sunday service. While there, I met a senior citizen who was looking for a job. Within a couple of weeks, I connected her with a company and now she is gainfully employed.
Our last Longfield Gospel Choir concert is on December 17th. I will fulfill my church duties on the 18th, and then fly out to Atlanta the next day. I will spend a couple of days at my townhouse which is still not rented. My family members and friends in Mississippi and Louisiana are looking forward to having me home for Christmas. I will sing and share at a couple of churches while there. It appears that I will travel to South Carolina on January 15th and share at a church. Then I will spend a week in Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing many of you at First Baptist Atlanta on January 22nd. Would love to have lunch with many of you after the second service.
Thank you again for your prayers and financial support. May the Lord continue to strengthen and bless you and hide you under the shadow of His wings. Blessings to you as you celebrate Jesus! Merry Christmas!
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)
