God is building His kingdom around the world ... and we get to be a small part of the work!

At least eight of our 84 FBA Faith Promise Missionaries serve with Wycliffe:

Bill & Joy Carrera                  Kirk & Cindy Flanegan

Dale & Carole Hoskins          Brandy Ingle-Bard

Stephen McConnel                Keith & Jaci Patman

Leah Rigsby                          Alan & Lynee Ward

This year, Wycliffe, with more than 1,000 global partners, celebrated 491 total languages engaged through Bible translation. These last few years have seen the largest increase in Scriptures completed since Wycliffe was founded.

Current statistics show that 52 nations have no new translation needs (there are translation projects active in these nations). There are another 88 nations that have only one remaining translation to begin!

This means 140 of the 195 countries in the world have begun to see, or are one project away from seeing, all Bible translation started! What a time to be alive!

There is still much work to be done. 128 million people from approximately 1,680 language groups do not have any Scripture in their language. But God! He is faithful.

Please pray for Wycliffe and all the missionaries that serve with them!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our FBA/Operation Christmas Child event! The Lord truly blessed through your gifts and we far surpassed our goal (6,000) to an outstanding amount of 9,262 shoeboxes collected and built online! May many children come to know the Lord through your love and giving!

PRAYER & PRAISE ~ November 30 - December 6, 2022

11/30 Bill & Joy Carrera
Wycliffe Bible Translators, Peru
Praise the Lord for the effectiveness of Joy's targeted cancer treatment and the lessening of the nausea and rash.

12/1 CF
Thailand
Recently her team attended the annual All-Thailand Staff Conference, a gathering of about 200 staff from all over Thailand. CF has been able to grow in relationship with Thai staff who are with Student Led Movements (SLM - that is the ministry of which she is a part). One of CF’s goals for the year is to be able to lead worship in Thai for the next conference!

12/2 K & C
Middle East & US
Pray for Iran and its people, as the whole country is aflame with protests and violence, killing of young women over not covering their hair properly, etc. Pray for the underground church that they would grow and be a good witness and grow in holiness and sound doctrine.

12/3 Nabil & Lena Costa
Christar, Lebanon
Since Lebanon’s ministry of health declared a cholera outbreak on October 5, more than 1,400 suspected cases have been reported in the country, including 381 confirmed cases and 17 deaths as of October 31. The highly contagious disease is rapidly spreading across Lebanon and can be catastrophic to the most vulnerable people and can kill within hours if left untreated.

12/4 Julie Roseboom
Ethnos360, Asia Pacific
Pray for the first graders with whom Julie teaches. Half of the first graders this year are learning English, which include Missionary/Ministry Kids from South Korea, Indonesia, and the Netherlands. Their language is improving already. Pray for co-workers whose ministries are transitioning.

12/5 Fotis & Mary Romeos
AMG International, Greece
Pray as we print out our evangelistic calendars for 2023 which will serve thousands of homes all over Greece and beyond. Pray for our radio ministry serving thousands of people in the island of Cyprus.

12/6 Ross & Roula Georgiou
Campus Crusade for Christ, Germany
Global Sports Sunday in September exceeded their goal of having 12 nations involved. The program was held in Dutch, Swedish, Italian, French, among others, in addition to English. One nation recruited 40 churches to be involved. One church believes they have recruited 10 new chaplains for training. PTL!

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)
