      Praise the Lord for the testimony of Geoffry Grider at our recent 2022 Annual Clergy Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon." He shared how he was living the dream as an actor in Hollywood.  While waiting tables he was discovered and got his break into an acting career. His dream world came crashing down into a million pieces when he heard that his brother had died. It made him think...where was his brother now?  Did he just cease to exist? Was he in purgatory or was he waiting somewhere to be reincarnated?  Geoff was determined to find out and went on a spiritual journey. 

 

      Geoff learned a whole lot about other religions, but he didn't seem any closer to finding God. Then he remembered his dad had taken a Gideon Bible from a hotel room on one of his business trips and brought it home. Geoff searched frantically in the dark, damp basement and there it was! It was there waiting for him all those years to come in the middle of the night with a hungry heart and a desire to find God. He opened the Bible and in Geoff's words, "And there it was in all its glory what I had been searching for...'For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.' John 3:16. He said those words struck him like a bolt of lightning! He was overwhelmed and tears of joy flowed. For the first time in his life he felt free, as if someone had taken a key and unlocked all the chains that had weighed him down.  He was a new creation in Christ and has started a ministry where he donates Bibles to jails and prisons across the United States!

   11/16 Sergio & Linda Mijangos 

    Avant Ministries, Guatemala 

    They are thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness walking with them during these two years

    battling cancer. These have been the most difficult years of their lives and yet the years

    when they have seen the Lord’s faithfulness every step of the way. Please continue to pray

    for the Mijangos.

    TMS Global, Philippines 

    Pray for Isaias, Isachar & Robert as every Thursday evening they are in an online ministry 

    mentoring 15 pastors and church leaders in Japan. 

       

    11/18 Paul & Karan Davis 

    TEAM, France

    Seven churches in the French Alps gathered for worship on October 2. It was encouraging to

    see over 200 believers in one room, but also a reality check of how many cities and towns in 

    our area have still not heard the message of salvation through faith in Christ.

    Greater Europe Mission, Germany 

    Pray for their upcoming move/transition in December to Texas for home ministry assignment, 

    and their need for a car, a place to call home, and safety as they travel.

    

    11/20 Beverly Minor    

    Central Missionary Clearinghouse, Austria 

    Pray for the Longfield Gospel Singers Choir concert on November 20. Pray for Beverly’s

    church, as they cross the Ukranian border each week with a load of relief supplies for the

    church in Meshkov, an area that has not been affected by the war.  There is a refugee center

    in the church, and more are coming.

    It’s especially satisfying to Keith to work with teams on books of the Bible that he’s studied

    in depth as part of his daily work of writing translation guides. With countless good resources at

    their disposal as they work, they count on your prayers for God’s provision of wisdom, clear 

    communication, a good internet connection and protection from illness and distractions.

    Pray for J & P as they travel to several locations; Cincinnati, back and forth to Kenya, Virginia,

    South Carolina, Chattanooga, and return to Nashville.

    Pray for the Chalvets as they travel in the U.S. for visits with family and friends through the end

    Pray for healing for Cindy’s right hand after replacement surgery of her thumb knuckle. The

    surgery went well. Pray for Kirk as he seeks the Holy Spirit’s leading to build relationships with

    Pastors and couples inviting them to join to support Bible Translation projects globally.

     Pray that their family and the people they work with will stay healthy during the cold and flu season. Pray that 

     many people will come to know Jesus in the coming months, especially around Christmas time.

     Pray as J & R settle in Lancaster, PA and seek God’s vision to know how best to serve the

     people of their ministry country living in their community.  Pray for open doors to the homes of

     their ministry people and opportunities to share the gospel with them.

     Adventive Cross Cultural Initiatives, USA/Italy

     Praise God that the church plant in Florida broke ground on the church building this summer! 

     They hope to be in the new building by spring. Robert stays busy with helping the church,

     preaching, going to seminary, teaching Sunday school, leading the youth group, another 

     men's discipleship group, chaplain for the local football high school team, helping lead FCA 

     weekly in the high school and middle school. He loves what he does and how God opens so 

     many doors in the public school.

     FHD Missions, Honduras

     Please pray as they have discussions about short term mission teams coming in 2023. Pray

     for God to move in some new opportunities and for Him to encourage others to return as 

     short-term mission teams have been an important part of their ministry. Pray for the continued 

     spiritual growth and development of everyone at La Casa De Rubén.

     Praise the Lord for the effectiveness of Joy's targeted cancer treatment and the lessening of  

     the nausea and rash.
