The Most Important Voice

 DIANE HARRINGTON - FAITH-PROMISE Missionary . . .

Serving with e3 Partners Ministry, USA, shares this story . . .

"As I was walking across the parking lot approaching the front doors of the hospital I heard a voice behind me asking,'Ma'am, ma'am?'  I turned around to see a distraught man pursuing me, almost out of breath. He asked how he could get a chaplain to come to the room of his wife, she was being taken off life support that day! My heart went out to him and I assured him I would tell the chaplain. I went to the hospital room a few hours later to check in on the family as they were all gathered around the bed of their loved one. The chaplain had indeed come and they were very grateful. The dying woman's sister spoke to me in the hall and said that she and her sister were believers, but she was heartbroken for her sister because the grieving children weren't Christians. I encouraged her to not only pray for them but to lovingly and boldly share the Gospel at the memorial service, that it was the perfect time to share the hope found only in Jesus and I was sure her sister would love it!"

"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh...But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control...If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit." Galatians 5:16-25

In our busy world today, there are many voices vying for our time and attention. The most important voice to listen for is the voice of the Holy Spirit, which leads us into all truth. We are so thankful for fellow believers who take the time to pause . . . listen . . . and help with the heart of Jesus!  Who is God calling you to help or encourage today?

Prayer & Praise - February 16-22, 2022

2/16 LOANN NGUYEN-HWANG
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, USA
Praise God for blessing LoAnn’s ministry last semester to reach out to over 120 students from 45 countries. Please pray for the planned Spring semester outreach, Valentine baking outreach, Bible study, tea-talk, hiking, and weekly outreach programs. Many students had and will have opportunities to know about Jesus through various events.

2/17 ISAIAS & JUDITH CATORCE
TMS Global, Philippines
Please pray for the thousands of people affected by Typhoon Odette on December 19 in Surigao, Cebu, Bohol, Maasin, Leyte, Samar, Negros and Palawan. More than 380 are dead and more are missing. The government’s forced evacuation before the typhoon saved many lives.

2/18 DAVID & KATHY NORTH
TEAM, USA/Worldwide
Pray as they meet regularly with Bible School Teachers in Southern Africa to help them design discipleship training for their students. Pray for wisdom and for fruitful outcomes so that young African leaders will come out as growing disciples who make disciples.

2/19 SAM & SILVANA SHAW
Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship, Ireland/Worldwide
Pray for Sam today as he leaves for Nepal for a couple of weeks of ministry there. They are so appreciative of your prayers and support over the past year. In addition, they praise God for all who heard the Gospel, whether through puppet shows, or a visit with Santa, and pray they will remember the stories they heard and come to know the Light of the world, Jesus Christ.

2/20 AL RHEA
Cru, USA/Southern & Eastern Africa
Al’s daughter Ruth is marrying Randy Greenhaw today in Atlanta and Al plans to walk her down the aisle! Pray for a beautiful day and God’s richest blessings on their marriage. Pray for the refresher training for Al’s staff team continuing in February 2022. The main focus is New Life Training, Multiplying Churches and Communities, as well as Study with Success (SWS).

2/21 CHARLIE & MARYBETH BERRY
Cru (Unto), USA/Worldwide
Praise the Lord that despite Covid challenges around the world, God continually opened doors in 2021 for humanitarian aid to be shipped to many countries. As Unto ministry partners distributed the aid, they have been able to share the Good News of the Gospel while demonstrating the love and kindness of our Lord.

2/22 GREG & PAM SMITH
InStep Global, USA/Worldwide
Pray for all the ongoing 2022 training opportunities. Pray for the InStep Network of partners, strategic planning sessions for 2022, and their Great Commission focus/initiatives.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)
