Evangelism, Church-Planting, Discipleship
Andrew & Anna Gorski, FBA Faith Promise missionaries, are passionate leaders who serve in Poland and coordinate a national unity and collaboration movement called “Evangelical Poland” with vision for 500% growth of the entire Polish Church. They also planted and Andrew now leads “Amazing Grace church” in Poznan, Poland. As natives of Poland, the Gorskis feel suited for this ministry calling because they speak the language and know the culture of Poland.
The following is excerpted from Andrew’s email dated December 2021, ministering through In Touch Mission International, Poland. (Used with permission)
Dear Ones in Christ,
Long time ago I learned it takes thousands of small steps to reach the big vision. Would you agree?
I’ve been thinking about what to write to you, but the small steps I’ve been taking in the last months and years seem sometimes so . . . small. I would like to write about how many people came to faith or about big programs or big progress, but the small steps? They just don’t seem so spectacular . . . yet, they are so needed to achieve big dreams and goals.
We’re building a movement of evangelical Christians in Poland who want to work together, help each other, and learn from each other. By now 28% of Polish churches and 400+ pastors and leaders were part of at least one common project. We believe collaboration and unity, which is God’s will for his church, will bring fruit and growth of the Polish Church.
Let me share with you just a few of the many small steps we took in the last months:
- Two-day retreat for US and Canadian missionaries serving in Poland (first in 15 years)
- Series of study tours for pastors and leaders in growing Polish churches and charity organizations
- Preparing a study tour in the US for Polish pastors and leaders
- Building a structure for growing movement (too much structure might kill the movement, so we must be wise)
- Preparing first ever public campaign on evangelical Christianity in Poland (Evangelicals comprise two-tenths of one percent in Poland) – building team, finding resources, etc.
- Sharing vision of Evangelical Poland with pastors through online and face-to-face meetings
- Preparing first ever “charity work” inventory for all Polish evangelical churches and organizations
- Raising funds and recruiting missionaries for new positions: Media Director and Volunteer Coordinator
Please know, we overflow with thankfulness for you and your investments in our lives and in the church in Poland!
