ANDREW & ALECIA TEEUWEN     Faith Promise Missionaries serving  with Pioneers in Greece

The Teeuwens' local ministry focus is to initiate a church-planting movement among Albanians in Greece. Their ministry work includes discipleship, leadership development, evangelism, and holistic ministry to immigrants who are primarily from other religion backgrounds. It is their desire to communicate God's love and help Albanians celebrate their cultural and ethnic identity in a country where they are a minority group looked down upon by others. The Teeuwens also work in partnership with local churches and ministries to serve the many refugees in Greece from Syria, the-stans and other troubled nations.

Prayer items: 

- Pray for a consultation on diaspora people groups (refugees, immigrants) in Europe occurring September 12-16.  Pray for good connections, abundant harvest and an effective workforce in and from these people groups in Europe.

- 9/15 is Pioneers International Day of Prayer – a worldwide day of prayer.  Feel free to join us in asking that God will be exalted among the nations. 

- 9/17 Sunday - Alecia & Andrew will share about their ministry at a luncheon today. Please pray that the Lord will raise up more partners and inspire those present to engage in reaching the unreached.   

- Praise the Lord for new believers through the summer camps and other outreaches in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Hungary!  Ask the Lord to help them grow in faith and community.

- Conversations regularly occur about the placement of new workers in teams. Pray that the Lord would bolster our so-called ‘single unit teams’ as well as raise up teams to pioneer new initiatives among unreached people groups. 

- Keep praying that the Lord would raise up a Pioneers team for Basque Country (France/Spain). Pray that opposition would be overcome and that the Lord will build His Church.

- Pray that all of Europe South would know that the Lord is God and may He be glorified.

9/13 LOANN NGUYEN HWANG

Pray for wisdom, favor, energy, and strength over LoAnn to lead the ministry and take care of her two active boys and the whole family. May God help her to prepare for a new school year, new student orientation, and may God lead 200-300 new students to her ministry. Pray for healing of her neck and back due to injuries sustained in a car wreck last year.

Praise God for the impact that a Georgia church team had on a high school in northwest Spain, in which OM workers and American teens shared with Spanish students and helped with English.

Pray for Linda and her team in September, as they will be in Kosovo and Albania.

Today is Global Sports Sunday when churches from many nations pray for athletes and get involved in their local sports ministry. Pray for seekers to accept the saving grace of Jesus and for believers to engage with athletes today and on an ongoing basis. Pray for 20 nations to participate. Praise God for the chaplains who shared Christ's love at the World Paras, France, and FIFA Women's World Cup.

Praise God for the safety in all the programs held at CVC, and for the special blessing all experienced with the operation of the new swimming pool in a time of extremely high temperatures. Thankfulness also expressed for the blessings their short-term missions trip became to all the participants in Albania and Armenia.
