A Story of Promise Amidst Pain ~
by Diane Harrington, Faith Promise Missionary
serving with e3 Partners Ministry, USA
Every Tuesday morning
for the past three years I've prayed with all kinds of people . . . a cartoon artist,
an entertainer/comedian, a college professor, a retired NYC policeman, a
911 operator, and the homeless. Even my own neighbors! They are dealing
with all kinds of griefs and illnesses . . . a stillborn baby, severe asthma, heart
attack, knee/hip replacement, unexpected hysterectomy, complications from diabetes,
advanced cancer and the list goes on. Most are looking for hope, healing
and peace of mind. One man was crying so hard in his bed that it was shaking.
Although, he was in isolation, the nurse allowed me to stand in the doorway and
pray for him. Boy, I tell you, I poured my heart out. Even in the
chapel one morning there was a woman sobbing with a Gideon Bible in her
lap overwhelmed with grief. When people are broken, they are serious about
getting their relationship right with God and it's such a blessing to be there
to pray with them and to share the love and message of Jesus. One patient in
Observation said she had goosebumps when I shared 1 John 5:13 with her.
"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of
God so that you may know that you have eternal life." Not
that you hope, or wish, or think...but KNOW! Ephesians 2:8-9 explains it
all!

At this Christmas season, there are many hearts that are
yearning for someone to care, someone to talk to, someone who will listen. We
thank God for people like Diane Harrington, Faith Promise Missionary serving with e3, who seeks those she can encourage
with the love of Jesus. This is a reminder to us all that as long as we are
willing, God will use us and lead us to those who are searching for Someone they may not
even know exists, Jesus Christ.
May we have the courage to ask God to lead us and then remember
to pray for those He leads us to, for as E.M. Bounds stated: “Talking to men for
God is a great thing but talking to God for men is greater still.”

Rick & Elisabeth Arnold
Pioneers,
Inc., West Africa
Praise
Jesus that the strategic meeting went well...there were hurts and
disappointments and miscommunication and misunderstandings, BUT GOD held all
their hearts! They are all committed to unity in the Body of Christ and that no
foothold for the Evil One be allowed.

Nabil & Lena Costa
Christar,
Lebanon
Please
pray for Lebanon. Seventy-eight percent of the population now lives under the
poverty line due to the plummeting currency, Syrian refugee crisis, and the
Beirut blast. Children are particularly at risk, as they lose access to
education and food security. Yet amid such darkness, Christians
have the distinct opportunity to stand out as a beacon of hope, while serving
as the hands and feet of Christ.
12 Linda Summer
The
Agape Puppets, USA/Worldwide
For the first time in over a year and a half,
Linda’s teams can do puppet shows again in Brazil. Praise God! She plans to be there in June for a
conference and to plant a new team in a different part of Brazil. She will be
working with her Italian directors, Gerson and Fabiana Simioni, who are
originally from Brazil. Please begin to pray about this opportunity and pray
for their 18 teams in Brazil who are busy sharing Jesus with children right
now.
13 SS
Asia
Pray
for many local Christians who due to economical reason do not have a Bible.
Praise God that In Touch Ministries agreed to supply many Bibles in various
languages for those who cannot afford a Bible. In addition, ITM will provide
some Messengers in various languages for those who cannot read/write and do not
have electricity in remote villages.
14 Robert & Lara Vitter
